Former Mr. Universe Calum von Moger is in an induced coma after jumping out of a second-storey window.
The Australian actor and bodybuilder was reportedly under the influence of drugs at the time of the May 6 plunge, reported Generation Iron.
The fall seriously injured his spine, was forced to undergo a major operation, and remains comatose in hospital, according to fellow bodybuilder and YouTuber Nick Trigilli, who claims von Moger tried to end his life.
“Calum is hitting a rough spot,” Trigilli said on his BodyBuilding & BS YouTube channel. “I hope this is rock bottom for him and he can get his life back.”
Von Moger was reportedly kicked out of his family’s house in Australia.
In a recent post on Instagram, von Moger opened up about his struggles, past and present.
“Everyone has a past. We’ve all been through hard times,” he wrote to his 3.2 million followers.
“I admit, I messed up bad many times,” he continued. “But I don’t care about dwelling on negative thoughts of the past. All I care about is that I learn from my mistakes and become a better person. I’m trying my hardest to stay strong but I have my days too.”
Von Moger added: “The Media will always focus on the negative news to get our attention and start gossips. But the positive achievements I’ve done in my life far outweigh the muck-ups I had along the way. That I can swear on 100.”
He then spoke of looking ahead.
“All I can ask is for your forgiveness so I can keep moving forward on the right path again.”
