Drunk man attempts to order at McDonald’s drive-thru

A drunk dad has gone viral after a late-night trip to McDonald’s – as he tried to get served in the drive-through by making ‘vroom vroom’ noises and claiming he ‘identifies as a truck’.

Kevin OHara was a bit disappointed when he went to one of the fast-food giant’s restaurants and found that it was closed to walk-ins, but they were still accepting drive-through customers.

The 32-year-old saw his opportunity and joined the queue with the cars, and when he got to the machine he ordered a Big Mac – but there was a problem.

Soon he was told that he had to be in a car, so he started making engine sounds, then said he identified as a truck when a staff member said they ‘don’t accept pretend cars’

Unfortunately, Kevin’s attempt to get a burger on Saturday, April 23, was unsuccessful, but the whole exchange was caught on camera and has since gone viral.

It’s had over 300,000 views on TikTok and Kevin says he doesn’t regret his tequila-fueled antics at all.

The fast-food fan finds his video hilarious and ‘doesn’t blame’ the worker for rejecting him, but he does think he deserved ‘some food and an Oscar’ for his ‘theatrical efforts’.

Kevin, from Leven, Fife, said: “When I was making the car noises I was just thinking ‘how can I convince this guy to give me a Big Mac?’. I was hungry. I had to convince him I was a truck.

Kevin admits he may have had one or two too many tequilas that night

When his noises didn’t work, Kevin said he identified as a truck

“In this day and age with people saying they’re identifying as something they may or may not be, I thought ‘if I can tell this guy I’m a truck then maybe he’ll serve me’.

“I was out watching the Tyson Fury fight, then we went to a nightclub and a client of mine kept buying me tequilas and I don’t normally drink that.

“Sometimes it’s hard to get between a drunken person and food on the way home. I just gave their door a rattle, realised it was closed, then thought ‘how can I get served?’.

“It didn’t go to plan. I don’t blame [the member of staff], but if you’d have asked me on the night I was blaming him.”

Kevin is now TikTok famous

Kevin admits wife Lisa OHara, 38, was left embarrassed by the footage, which was shot on the night of her birthday party.

His pal’s TikTok post has been liked more than 25,000 times and users were left in stitches at the bold attempt to be served – with some agreeing McDonald’s should have just served him.

One joked: “The worker doesn’t get paid enough to deal with this.”

One agreed with Kevin and said: “At this point would it not just be safer and quicker to serve him than try to convince him to leave.”

Another simply added: “That’s brilliant.”

Kevin insists he isn’t embarrassed to return to his local McDonald’s on Friday, but he’ll make sure he takes his real van next time.

McDonald’s have been contacted for comment.
