Cleaning the oven is one of the most hated household tasks and most people dread getting down on their hands and knees to scrub out the tricky kitchen appliance.

With baked on grime that gets worse every day, it’s no surprise that people put it off which, unfortunately, only makes the problem worse.

So how would you feel if we told you that there was a solution – and better yet, it’s easy to do and costs just 25p to implement, and at the end of it your oven will look shiny and new.

The experts at Tombola have shared their top tip for cleaning the oven – saying all you need is baking soda, white wine vinegar, and a little bit of patience.

On their website, Tombola, ‘Britain’s biggest bingo site’, wrote: “Cleaning, tidying, housework, chores. Whatever you call it, it’s a necessity for everyone, especially right now.

“Some people love it, while others hate it, but we could all do with a few handy hints and hacks to lighten the load right now.

“Tombola have surveyed the British public and their 160,000 strong Facebook community to uncover the most detested and time-consuming chores across the country.

“Based on this investigation they’ve curated some top tricks, tips and hacks around the home. The result is the ultimate time-saving hacks to make your regular cleaning that little bit easier.”

They went on to say how research showed that people hate cleaning the oven the most, as it is the ‘most hated chore’.

So, to tackle that, they shared their top tip for cleaning the oven and it’s surprisingly simple.

They said that all you have to do is mix white wine vinegar and baking soda together, spread it over the inside of the oven – including the front door – and leave it for at least half an hour.

And then, that’s it – all you have to do is wipe it down and you’re done, no more dirty oven.
