Edit: The production team of “The Season of Kkok Du” announced that they have cast Lee Jung Joon as the late Lee Ji Han’s replacement.  Lee Jung Joon made his debut in the 2017 K-drama Queen for Seven Days and is currently starring in SBS’ Cheer Up.  In the last few years, he has been a part of several dramas including the world-renowned Squid Game.

On November 7th, MBC announced that the upcoming drama “The Season of Kkok Du” already began filming again. They also revealed that they are looking for the next actor that will continue the role that was left by Lee Ji Han.

“The Season of Kkok Du” was the last project of Lee Ji Han before he died. He was supposed to be one of the minor roles in the drama. The idol actor also filmed several scenes for the drama before he passed away.

The upcoming series is a new medical fantasy k-drama from MBC. It will be led by Kim Jung Hyun, Im Soo Hyang, Kim Da Som, and Cha Chung Hwa.

This series was supposed to be the first ever drama of Lee Ji Han on a broadcast channel. The idol actor was part of the Itaewon Halloween incident last October 29th. He was included among the 156 people that passed away in the incident.

After it got confirmed that Lee Ji Han was one of the victims, the production team of the k-drama “The Season of Kkok Du” announced the temporary postponement of the filming of the series.

Lee Ji Han made his first appearance in the industry through the survival program “Produce 101 Season 2.” He is one of the 101 contestants that dreamed of becoming part of the project group produced by Mnet.

In 2019, Lee Ji Han made his acting debut through the web series “Today Was Another Nam Hyun Day” with Choi Woo Jung.

There are no official announcements yet if the scenes filmed by Lee Ji Han will still be included in the release of the upcoming drama “The Season of Kkok Du.” There are also no details yet if the successor of Lee Ji Han will re-film the scenes or will just continue what Lee Ji Han has started in the drama.
