Netflix original series “The Fabulous” postpones its premiere date

Netflix joined the period of national mourning due to the unfortunate happenings in Itaewon. 

The upcoming Netflix original series “The Fabulous” was originally set to premiere on November 4th. Instead of the original date, it has been decided that the airing date will be postponed. 

On October 31st, Netflix announced through their social media accounts that they would temporarily postpone the schedule of the release of the drama “The Fabulous” to mourn for the victims of the Itaewon incident. 

Netflix shared, “As national mourning is being made because of the regrettable incident, we have decided to temporarily postpone the premiere and the press conference of ‘The Fabulous’.”

South Korea is currently mourning the aftermath of the Itaewon incident that happened on the night of October 29th. Several young lives were lost due to the Itaewon tragedy. 

Many programs, events, concerts, and comeback releases were also canceled and postponed to a later date to spend a period of mourning for the victims. Several Korean celebrities also expressed their condolences to the victims of the incident. 

“The Fabulous” is a drama that will revolve around four passionate friends who have devoted their lives to the fashion industry. 

The series will be the latest work of director Kim Jung Hyun who’s known for being the man behind the works “At a Distance, Spring Is Green,” “Legal High,” “A Korean Odyssey,” “Gu Family Book,” “A Gentleman’s Dignity,” “Secret Garden,” and “Playful Kiss.”

“The Fabulous” will be led by Chae Soo Bin, SHINee’s Choi Min Ho, Lee Sang Woon, Park Hee Jung, Shin Dong Mi, and Lee Mi Do.

Choi Min Ho will play the role of Ji Woo Min. he works as a freelance retoucher who makes the photographs more appealing. He has good looks and he is also good at his job but he’s not that passionate about work or even about love. 

Chae Soo Bin on the other hand will play the role of Pyo Ji Eun, the section chief of a luxury brand promotion agency. She has dreamed about working in the fashion industry ever since she was young. Despite all the struggles that she faces in the fashion field, she still chooses to have a bright and positive personality.
