Singer and Actress Goo Ha Ra Passes Away

Former member of KPop group KARA, singer and actress Goo Ha Ra was found dead in her home in Gangnam early in the morning on Sunday, November 24th, 2019.

The 28 year old was previously reported to have made an attempt on her life back in May, when she was found unconscious in her home by her manager. She later apologized to her fans and promised to be stronger.

She recently made a comeback on the 2nd of November with her Japanese single titled, ‘Midnight Queen,’ and was on a mini Japan tour. She last performed onstage in a concert four days ago.

Ha Ra appeared as a guest in numerous TV shows and made notable appearances in Secret Love, It’s Okay, That’s Love and City Hunter.

On Saturday night, November 23 2019, Ha Ra posted her final post on Instagram with the caption:
 “Good Night.”

“Such trivial worries, with a smile, bye bye~”

Ha Ra was one of the closest friends of the late singer and actress Sulli, and after the latter’s death she left a heart-wrenching message for her friend during an Instagram broadcast:

Sulli, I’m sorry I can’t go [to your funeral] because I am in Japan.

I’m sorry that I had no other choice but to greet you like this.

Live well up there and do everything that you wanted to do.

I will live hard and work hard for you.

Everyone, Sulli and I were really close, we lived like a real set of sisters.

In return, I wanted to to say something to Sulli, so I turned on this live broadcast.

I’m sorry. I’m sorry.

Everyone, please don’t worry. Goodbye, Sulli.

Ha Ra, like many others, is a soul lost too soon to this cruel world. She had battled through so much, and still managed to keep a smile on her face for her fans. It’s high time people realize how vicious words can truly be, they have ended so many lives. Please be kind to everyone regardless of your opinions regarding them. Please be responsible for your words and actions both online and in real life. Hatred incites more hatred, and results in loss  that cannot be compensated for.

May you rest in peace, Ha Ra.
