Kang Han Na reportedly cast as female lead for the upcoming drama “Red Single Heart”
According to several reports on July 28th Kang Han Na will be working together with Jang Hyuk and Lee Joon for the upcoming historical drama titled “Red Single Heart.”
Kang Han Na’s agency KeyEast Entertainment, revealed that their artist is still in talks for the role. They also stated that Kang Han Na is positively considering the drama.
It was previously reported that actors Lee Joon and Jang Hyuk were offered to lead the drama, and both are positively reviewing the offers. Casting and other production details are yet to be confirmed.
The upcoming historical fiction drama “Red Single Heart” will be written by Park Pil Joo (“First Love Again,” and “Naeil’s Cantabile”).
“Red Single Heart” will revolve around Lee Tae the enemy of Sunjong, who eventually became the king of Joseon. Lee Joon received the offer to play the role of Lee Tae, a man who plans to destroy the anti-government officials and Park Gye Won so that he can strengthen his kingship. Jang Hyuk was asked to portray the role of Park Gye Won, the kingmaker.
Meanwhile, actress Kang Han Na received the offer to star as Yoo Jung. Yoo Jung will be the type who can’t be bothered by the strict doctrines of Confucianism.
If they confirm their casting, this drama will be Kang Han Na and Jang Hyuk’s reunion since the movie “Empire of Lust.” It will also be the reunion of Jang Hyuk and Lee Joon since the 2013 drama “IRIS 2.”
“Red Single Heart” will air on KBS with a total of 20 episodes and will reportedly premiere in 2022.
Kang Han Na was part of the cast of the recently ended drama “My Roommate is a Gumiho” with Girl’s Day Lee Hye Ri, Jang Ki Yong, Bae In Hyuk, and Kim Do Wan.
