Upcoming webtoon-based drama “Money Game” revealed its main cast lineup.
On January 28th Naver webtoon shared that the hit webtoon “Money Game” will be turned into a drama and it will be led by Ryu Joon Yeol, IU, Park Jung Min, Park Hae Joon, and Bae Sung Woo.
“Money Game” will have eight episodes and it will be released through an OTT platform. The drama will base the story on the popular webtoon of the same name by Bae Jin Su.
The upcoming thriller mystery drama will be directed by “Emergency Declaration” and “The King” director, Han Jae Rim.
“Money Game” will tell the story of eight participants working and betraying each other in a game. They will be in an extreme setting and if someone dies, the game ends. It will showcase the fierce and emotional battle of the participants for the large prize money.
The upcoming drama will be produced by Studio N (“Sweet Home” and “Our Beloved Summer”), Mangum Nine (“The King” and “Emergency Declaration”), and Lotte Culture Works.
This drama will be the reunion project of Ryu Joon Yeol and Bae Sung Woo with director Han Jae Rim.
“Money Game” is set to begin filming in the first half of the year.
This drama will be Park Joon Yeol’s follow-up drama after the JTBC series “Lost” with Jeon Do Yeon, Park Byung Eun, Kim Hyo Jin, Park Ji Young, and Park In Hwan. The actor will also join the upcoming films “The Owl” and “Alien + People.”
After three years, IU has finally picked her next drama after the hit series “Hotel del Luna.” She will also star in two films such as “Dream” with actor Park Seo Joon, Ko Chang Seok, and Lee Hyun Woo, and “Broker” with Bae Doo Na, Song Kang Ho, and Kang Dong Won.
“Money Game” will also be Park Jung Min’s next drama project. He last starred in the hit Netflix original series “Hellbound.” Just like the other cast members of the upcoming drama, Park Jung Min will also star in several upcoming movies such as “Smugglers,” “Parking Chance,” and “One Win.”
