The upcoming movie “Rebound” will be led by Ahn Jae Hong, Kim Do Wan, Jung Gun Joo, Kim Taek, and Lee Sin Young.
On February 8th, media outlets shared that Ahn Jae Hong, Kim Do Wan, Jang Geon Joo, Kim Taek, and Lee Sin Young will be the main leads of the upcoming basketball movie titled “Rebound.”
The film will be directed by Jang Hang Joon who also helmed the works “Forgotten,” “Spring Breeze,” and “Break Out.” The script will be written by the director’s wife, writer Kim Eun Hee who also wrote the dramas “Jirisan,” “Kingdom,” and “Signal.” This will be the next collaboration work of the married couple. B.A. Entertainment and Workhouse Company will produce the movie.
“Rebound” will be based on the true story of the Busan JoongAng High School basketball team in 2012.
Ahn Jae Hong will play the role of basketball coach named Kang Yang Hyun. Meanwhile, Kim Do Wan, Jung Gun Joo, Kim Taek, and Lee Sin Young will play as basketball players at JoongAng High School.
Kang Yang Hyun became a legend after his team at JoongAng High School made it to the finals despite only having 6 players including one injured player.
“Rebound” will reportedly begin its filming this coming March.
This will be the second upcoming movie of Ahn Jae Hong. He will also be part of the upcoming film “High Five” with Yoo Ah In, Ra Mi Ran, Oh Jung Se, Lee Jae In, and Kim Hee Won. The actor will also lead the upcoming Netflix original drama “Mask Girl” with Go Hyun Jung, Yeom Hye Ran, and After School’s Nana.
