Park Ji Hoon, Choi Hyun Wook, and Hong Kyung are confirmed for “Weak Hero Season 1”

Park Jin Hoon, Choi Hyun Wook, and Hong Kyung will be lead the upcoming wavve original drama “Weak Hero Season 1.”

On April 7th wavve officially revealed the main leads of their new drama “Weak Hero Season 1.” Aside from Park Ji Hoon who was previously confirmed to lead the drama, Choi Hyun Wook and Hong Kyung will also join the upcoming drama. 

“Weak Hero Season 1” will base its story on the webcomic with the same name written by Seo Pae Seu & illustrated by Kim Jin Seok. The upcoming series will revolve around model student Yeon Shi Eun who seems weak physically but uses his brain to outsmart his opponents in a fight. He fights against the violence that’s happening in and out of the school. The upcoming series will be written and directed by Yoo Su Min. 

Park Ji Hoon will play the role of Yeon Shi Eun. He is strategic and creative in fighting against violence. He will be a new kind of hero that has never been seen before. Choi Hyun Wook will play the role of Ahn Soo Hoo, an honest and free soul student, and Hong Kyung will be the character named Oh Beom Seok. The three will build a friendship in the series. 

“Weak Hero Season 1” will premiere in the second half of 2022. 

Wavve stated, “The main cast of Weak Hero is officially complete. The series already gained attention not only in Korea but also overseas. We ask for your support in the action-youth drama that will be led by outstanding actors Park Jin Hoon, Choi Hyun Wook, and Hong Kyung.” 

“Weak Hero Season 1” will exclusively premiere on the OTT platform, wavve. The series will be produced by Studio Wave (subsidiary of Wavve Original Planning and Development, Playlist, and Shortcake) and Jadam Media.
