Jung Woo and “Squid Game” actress Lee Yoo Mi will possibly work together for the upcoming drama “Mental Coach Je Gal Gil.”
Several media outlets reported on November 26 that Jung Woo and Lee Yoo Mi have been selected to be the main leads of the upcoming series “Mental Coach Je Gal Gil.”
Jung Woo’s agency BH Entertainment shared their side and stated that the actor is positively reviewing the offer to appear in the upcoming drama.
Lee Yoo Mi’s agency Varo Entertainment also responded to the reports and revealed that the rising actress is positively considering the casting offer.
“Mental Coach Je Gal Gil” will showcase a former national athlete and how he helps other athletes recover.
Jung Woo received the offer to play the role of Je Gal Gil. He was a national Taekwondo athlete but had to quit due to an accident. He is now a mental coach who helps other former athletes to heal and get out of a slump.
Lee Yoo Mi received the offer to play as the female lead named Cha Ga Eul. She is a former world-class short-track speed skating medalist who is in the midst of a slump. She is known as the “Ice Princess” but her fame is in danger because of her falling into a slump.
“Mental Coach Je Gal Gil” will begin filming this year after finalizing the casting. The drama will be directed by Son Jung Hyun and the script will be written by Kim Ban Di.
Aside from “Mental Coach Je Gal Gil,” Jung Woo is also set to star in the upcoming Netflix original series “Role Model Family” with Kim Sung Oh, Yoon Jin Seo, Park Hee Soon, Park Ji Yun, Kim Shin Bi, and more. He last starred in the 2021 KakaoTV drama “Mad for Each Other” alongside Oh Yeon Seo. He will also star in the upcoming films “Dirty Money” and “Hot Blooded.”
Lee Yoo Mi became one of the fastest rising stars this year. She became more popular after appearing in the global hit Netflix series “Squid Game.” She is also set to star in an upcoming Netflix original series titled “All of Us Are Dead.” The actress will also reportedly lead the upcoming film “We Can’t Go to Heaven, but We Can Love.”
