AppleTV+ drama “Dr. Brain” announces its release date!

AppleTV+ announces the release date of the much-awaited original series “Dr. Brain.”

On October 25th Apple released a teaser of “Dr.Brain” together with its confirmed release date. The upcoming drama starring Lee Sun Kyun will be out on November 4th.

“Dr. Brain” will be the first Korean drama that will be launched through AppleTV+. The drama will be directed by  Kim Jee Woon who also worked for masterpieces such as “The Age of Shadows,” “I Saw The Devil,” “A Tale of Two Sisters,” and more. 

The upcoming thriller series is based on a Korean webtoon with the same name. It will showcase the journey of neuroscientists over new technologies. The drama will tell the story about accessing the brains of the people who are involved in a mysterious incident.

Other cast members of the upcoming AppleTV+ series are  Park Hee Soon, Lee Yoo Young, Seo Ji Hye, Son Seok Koo, and Yoo Teo.

Other content that will be launched through AppleTV+ is “Pachinko” starring Lee Min Ho and Youn Yuh Jung.

“Dr. Brain” will release one episode per week until December 10. The upcoming thriller mystery drama will have a total of 6 episodes. 

Lee Sun Kyun will be the first actor to lead a drama in AppleTV+. He is globally known as one of the actors in the Oscar-winning movie “Parasite” by Bong Joon Ho. 

The actor last starred in a drama in 2019. This will be his comeback to the small screen after two years. He last starred in the drama “Diary of a Prosecutor” with Jung Ryeo Won, Lee Sung Jae, Lee Sang Hee, Kim Kwang Gyu, and more. Lee Sun Kyun was also part of the hit dramas “My Mister,” “Pasta,” “Coffee Prince,” and more. 

Aside from dramas, Lee Sun Kyun is also set to star in several films such as “The Land of Happiness,” “Silence,” “Sleep,” “Killing Romance,” and “Kingmaker: The Fox of the Election.”
