2PM’s Lee Jun Ho and Girls Generation’s Im Yoon Ah are set to lead a new romantic comedy drama.
On April 20th it was officially confirmed that Lee Jun Ho and Im Yoon Ah will be the main leads of the upcoming series titled “Kingderland (literal translation).”
This will be the first drama project of Lee Jun Ho and Im Yoon Ah. The two have worked several times together previously as a member of 2PM and Girls Generation. Back in December last year as well, the two created a buzz after being the MCs of “2021 MBC Gayo Daejejeon.” Lee Jun Ho and Im Yoon Ah also made a special performance for the program that showcased their great chemistry together.
The upcoming romance-comedy drama “Kingderland (literal translation)” will be about the stories in the hotel industry. It will revolve around a male conglomerate that owns several hotels, airlines, and distribution businesses that don’t know about love and a hotelier who has a great childhood memory at her working place.
“Kingderland (literal translation)” will be penned by the writer of “All Of Us Are Dead.” The series will be produced by NPIO Entertainment (“The Red Sleeve” and “Forecasting Love and Weather”) and BY4M Studio.
Lee Jun Ho will play the role of Goo Won, a conglomerate that owns several businesses like hotels, airlines, and more. He is good at everything except a sense of romance.
Im Yoon Ah will play the role of Chun Sa Rang, an employee at King Hotel, owned by Goo Won’s family. She decided to work there because of her happiest childhood memory.
“Kingderland” will reportedly begin filming this fall. Meanwhile, the platform and other broadcasting details are still under discussion.
This will be the first confirmed drama project of Lee Jun Ho for 2022. He last starred in the hit drama “The Red Sleeve” with Lee Se Young. The idol-actor is currently busy with several lined-up advertisements.
Meanwhile, this upcoming drama will be added to Im Yoon Ah’s list of new projects. The idol actress is set to star in the much anticipated 2022 series “Big Mouth” with Lee Jong Suk and movies “2 O’Clock Date” and “Confidential Assignment 2: International.”
