“The Law Cafe” confirms its premiere date!

The upcoming KBS drama “The Law Cafe” will officially begin airing next month. 

On July 25th it was confirmed that “The Law Cafe” starring Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young, will officially premiere on August 29. They also held their script reading together with the whole cast. 

“The Law Cafe” will be the newest drama from KBS. The series is a law romance drama that will revolve around Kim Jeong Ho, a former prosecutor and now a building owner, and Kim Yu Ri, a lawyer with a 4D personality. The drama will base its story on the popular web novel “Love According to Law” (literal translation) written by No Seung Ah.

The series will be led by Lee Seung Gi, Lee Se Young, Kim Seul Gi, Oh Dong Min, Jang Hye Jin, Ahn Dong Goo, and more. It will be directed by Lee Eun Jin (“Sassy Go Go”) and written by  Im Ji Eun.

At the script reading, Lee Seung Gi showcased the unexpected charm of Kim Jeong Hoo to Kim Yu Ri, played by Lee Se Young. Lee Se Young will play the character named Kim Yu Ri who has a 4D personality. She cannot stand injustice. She recently opened a “law cafe” on the first floor of the building. Meanwhile, Lee Seung Gi’s character Kim Jung Ho owns the whole building and is the landlord of Kim Yu Ri. 

“The Law Cafe” will be part of the Monday and Tuesday drama timeslot of KBS. The series will have a total of 16 episodes. 

This will be the reunion drama of Lee Seung Gi and Lee Se Young. The two first worked together in the 2017 series “A Korean Odyssey.” Back then, Lee Se Young was a minor role and Lee Seung Gi was partnered with Oh Yeon Seo. 

“The Law Cafe” will be the first acting project of Lee Seung Gi for 2022. He last starred in the tvN series “Mouse.” 

Meanwhile, this will be the follow-up drama of Lee Se Young after the hit 2021 series “The Red Sleeve” with 2 PMs Lee Jun Ho.
