The upcoming SBS drama “Flower Scholars’ Love Story” revealed the actors that will lead the series.
On September 14th, SBS shared that Shin Ye Eun, Ryeoun, Kang Hoon, and Jung Gun Joo will be the main leads of the historical series “Flower Scholars’ Love Story.”
The upcoming series will be the collaboration work of director Kim Jung Min (“Gunman In Joseon” and “The Princess’s Man”) and writer Kwon Eum Mi (“Woman with a Suitcase” and “Gap Dong”).
“Flower Scholars’ Love Story” is a mysterious romance drama that will revolve around an incident that happened in the boarding house called Guest Summer Palace. It will showcase the journey of the boarders with secrets that father to find Lee Seol who disappeared 13 years ago.
The upcoming series will officially air on SBS during the first half of 2023.
Shin Ye Eun will play the role of Yoon Dan Oh, the guest of the boarding house. It will be the third upcoming drama for the actress. She will also star in the upcoming dramas “The Glory” and “Third Person Revenge.”
Ryeoun will play the role of Gang Shan, a martial arts student with a cold personality. He used to be alone but after meeting Dan Oh, he will become more open to his feelings. This will be his first drama of 2023. Ryeoun will also star in the drama “The Borrowed Body” with Nam Yoon Su and Park Hae Eun.
Kang Hoon will play the role of Kang Shi Yool. He is the best friend of Dan Oh who always complains about love and counseling. The actor is currently starring in the tvN “Little Women.” He will also join the 2023 series “A Time Called You.”
Lastly, Jang Gun Joo will play the role of a noble scholar who is very sensitive to other person’s feelings because of the cold treatment from his parents. The actor will also make his big screen debut in the film “Rebound.”
