“Mental Coach Je Gal Gil” unveiled a new teaser two weeks before its airing.
On August 30th, tvN released a new teaser clip featuring main leads Jung Woo and Lee Yoo Mi. In the teaser, Je Gal Gil was seen becoming a mental coach. As Cha Ga Eul keeps on failing while practicing, Je Gal Gil stated, “Don’t work too hard. Remember, you also have the right to fail.” It raises curiosity about what to expect in the drama. as Je Gal Gil teaches that there shouldn’t be any fear of failure based on his experience.
The series is a sports drama that will revolve around a former national athlete who quit sports after a scandal. He then decided to become a mental coach to help former athletes who already retired and current athletes that fell into a slump. It will be directed by Son Jung Hyun (“When My Love Blooms”) and written by Kim Ban Di (“Special Labor Inspector Jo”).

“Mental Coach Je Gal Gil” will be led by Jung Woo, Lee Yoo Mi, Kwon Yool, Park Se Young, Cha Soon Bae, and Moon You Kang.
Jung Woo will play the role of Je Ga Gil, a former member of the Taekwondo national team turned mental coach. Lee Yoo Mi on the other hand will play the role of Cha Ga Eul, a short-track speed skater who fell into a slump and wants to have a comeback.
“Mental Coach Je Gal Gil” will be part of the Monday and Tuesday drama timeslot on tvN. It will begin airing on September 12th, at 10:30 PM KST. The drama will have a total of 16 episodes.
