Kim Min Ju will reportedly be added to the cast of the upcoming MBC drama “Joseon’s Ban on Marriage.”
On June 8th media outlets shared that Kim Min Ju will be one of the casts of the upcoming webtoon-based drama.
“Joseon’s Ban on Marriage” will base its story on the webtoon of the same name by Choi Ji Hye. The series will revolve around King Lee Heon who bans marriage after losing his queen 7 years ago and Ye So Rang, a marriage scammer who deceives everyone that she can possess herself into the late queen.
The upcoming series will be led by Kim Young Dae, Park Ju Hyun, Jung Bo Min, and Kwon Hyun Bin.
Kim Young Dae will play the role of King Lee Heon and Park Ju Hyun will portray the role of the marriage scammer named Ye So Rang.
“Joseon’s Ban on Marriage” will be produced by Bon Factory. The upcoming series is slated to air this year.
Before Kim Min Ju became part of the temporary group IZ*ONE, she first started as an actress. She was the younger version of actress Moon Ga Young in the 2018 drama “Tempted.”
In the same year, she joined the survival program “Produce 48.” She became part of the final lineup and ranked 11th. Because of this, she made her debut in IZ*ONE and was promoted with the group until April 2021.
After her promotion as an IZ*ONE member, her company Urban Works announced that Kim Min Ju will officially promote as an actress.
Kim Min Ju also made special appearances in the series “Immortal Goddess” and “A-Teen 2.”
If Kim Min Ju confirms her casting, this will be her first drama project after leaving IZ*ONE.
