Kim Min Gue to be the main lead of a new drama adapted from a web novel!

Kim Min Gue will be the main lead of the upcoming drama “Holy Idol (literal translation).”

On May 23rd, news outlets shared that Kim Min Gue will be the leading man in the upcoming drama “Holy Idol.” It will be released next year. The news was also shared by Kim Min Gue’s agency Happy Tribe Entertainment on their official social media pages. 

“Holy Idol” will base its story on the popular web novel of the same name. It is a fantasy romance drama that will revolve around a  god who possesses the body of an unknown idol. 

Kim Min Gue will play the character named Rembrary, a high priest in a different world who possesses the body of a handsome yet unknown idol named Woo Yeon Woo. 

“Holy Idol” will reportedly premiere in 2023. The broadcast details are still under discussion.

This drama will be Kim Min Gue’s first project for 2023. The actor became more famous after starring in the hit SBS drama “A Business Proposal” with Ahn Hyo Seop, Kim Se Jeong, and Seol In Ah. He captured the hearts of not only Korean viewers but also international fans for his portrayal of the character named Cha Sung Hoon. 

Because of this, the actor gained several promotional offers from dramas, advertisements, and more. He was also recently featured in the program “Omniscient Interfering View” wherein he showcased a bit of his life together with his manager. 

Kim Min Gue made his official acting debut in 2015. He has starred in several dramas such as “Snowdrop,” “So I Married an Anti-Fan,” “Backstreet Rookie,” “Just Between Lovers,” “Because This Is My First Life,” Signal,” “Who Are You: School 2015,” and more. 

In 2017, the actor also became viral after being part of “I Can See Your Voice Season 4.” He shocked everyone with his great singing voice.
