Kim Bo Ra and UP10TION’s Kim Woo Seok are both confirmed to star in the upcoming drama “Finnish Papa” (literal translation).
On September 30th, it was officially confirmed that Kim Bo Ra and Kim Woo Seok will be the main leads of the upcoming 6 episode drama “Finnish Papa.” Kim Bo Ra’s agency MCMC also confirmed the reports.
“Finnish Papa” will revolve around a café called Finland Papa wherein those who who is deeply hurt and needs healing come and know the true meaning of what a true family is.
Kim Bo Ra will play the role of Lee Yu Ri. She is in her 20s and also works as a part-time employee at a café called Finland Papa.
Kim Woo Seok on the other hand will play the role of Baek Woo Hyun. He created the café and will fall for a woman in her twenties who is mourning the loss of her grandmother.
“Finnish Papa” will reportedly begin its production this October. The drama is set to be released through an OTT platform. The broadcast release is not yet finalized.
This will be the comeback of Kim Woo Seok to dramas. He last starred in the 2021 series “Bulgasal: Immortal Souls” with Lee Jin Wook, Hello Venus’ Kwon Na Ra, MBLAQ’s Lee Joon, Gong Seung Yeon, and Jung Jin Young. This year, he made a special appearance in the Viki web drama “Mimicus” starring BAP’s Yoo Young Jae and Jo Yu Ri.
Meanwhile, this drama will be added to the upcoming projects of Kim Bo Ra. The actress is set to star in the upcoming series “I’m Watching You” and “Death to Snow White.” She will also star in the upcoming movie “The Ghost Station” with N.Flying’s Kim Jae Hyun and Shin So Yool.
