Han Ji Eun and Kim Gun Woo are confirmed to lead KBS’ “Drama Special Season 13: Let’s Meet in an Unfamiliar Season.”
On September 12th, it was confirmed that Han Ji Eun and Kim Gun Woo will work together for the one-episode series “Drama Special Season 13: Let’s Meet in an Unfamiliar Season.”
“Drama Special Season 13: Let’s Meet in an Unfamiliar Season” will be about the romance in the isolation center of COVID-19 in 2020. It will tell the story of COVID-19 confirmed patients who entered the isolation center and communicate through a window and comfort each other during the terrifying and unfamiliar quarantine period.
The upcoming series will be the collaboration work of director Lee Min Soo (“The Secret House” and “The Scarlet Letter”) and writer Yeo Myung Jae (“Be My Dream Family”). The series will be produced by Production Ascendio.
Han Ji Eun will play the role of Oh Hee Joo, a photographer with an introverted and timid personality.
Kim Gun Woo on the other hand will play the role of Myung Ki Joon, a cheerful person who stays in the next room to Oh Hee Joo in the COVID-19 isolation center.
“Drama Special Season 13: Let’s Meet in an Unfamiliar Season” will be one of the one-act plays that will be released this year. KBS is known for releasing drama specials regularly. For this year, KBS will be releasing two films and eight one-act plays including this series.
The upcoming drama special will premiere on KBS 2TV in October.
This will be the second drama of Han Ji Eun for 2022. The actress is currently starring in the series “Stock Struck” together with Hong Jong Hyun, Jang Gwang, Jung Moon Sung, Kim Sun Young, and Lee Joo Won. Han Ji Eun will also be part of the upcoming movie “Moradong.”
Meanwhile, this will be the comeback project of Kim Gun Woo after two years. He last starred in the 2020 series “Record of Youth.” Aside from the KBS drama special, Kim Gun Woo will also star in the film “Ultimate Oppa.”
