“Alchemy of Souls” confirmed to also premiere on Netflix this June

“Alchemy of Souls” will also be available on Netflix next month!

On May 30th Netflix officially released the teaser of “Alchemy of Souls” starring Jung So Min and Lee Jae Wook. With this, it’s officially confirmed that the series will air on tvN and be available worldwide through the global OTT platform Netflix. 

“Alchemy of Souls” is a fantasy romance drama that will revolve around the fate of the people who will get intertwined with “hwanhonsool” (the soul of the dead return to the living).

The series will be the latest work of renowned Korean writers called Hong Sisters consisting of Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran. The two are responsible for the popular dramas “Hotel del Luna,” “A Korean Odyssey,” “The Master’s Sun,” “My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho,” and more. The series will be directed by Park Joon Hwa ( “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?”).

Aside from Jung So Min and Lee Jae Wook,  NU’EST Hwang Min Hyun, Shin Seung Ho, Yoo Joon Sang, Oh Na Ra, Jo Jae Yoon, and Oh My Girl’s Arin will also be part of the drama. 

“Alchemy of Souls” will be included in the Saturday and Sunday timeslot of tvN. The drama will premiere on June 18 both on tvN and Netflix. 

Lee Jae Wook will play the character named Jang Wook, a noble and part of the Jang Family. He hides something about his birth. 

Jung So Min will portray the character named Mu Deok Yi,  an elite warrior. The thing is, the soul has been trapped in a physically weak body. 

Hwang Min Hyun will play the role of Seo Yul, a member of the Seo clan. He is perfect in every way. From appearance, intelligence, and even martial arts skills. 

Other members of the drama that will give more life to the story are  Yoo In Soo, Joo Sang Wook, Girls Day Park So Jin, Park Eun Hye, and Im Chul Soo. Go Yoon Jung and Moon Sung Hyun will make a special appearance in the series.
